Emgrisa reaffirms its commitment with UN Global Compact

Emgrisa has reaffirmed its support for the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact on Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption, adhering to the UN Global Compact in 2016.

In 2016, Emgrisa communicated to its stakeholders its effective commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and as such, the adherence to the United Nation Global Compact was the one that met with the company’s expectations and supported by the Enusa Group to which Emgrisa belongs to.

Reaffirming our commitment to the Global Compact is not just a statement, it is an active commitment to apply continuously. For Emgrisa, the Ten Principles are a framework for the strategic vision of the company, starting with the collaboration in the development of a better society and a sustainable environment.

Emgrisa is fully aware of the importance attached to Corporate Social Responsibility and endeavours to apply it to all our activities to both clients and society. Within our company we make our resources more efficient and adapted to the necessities of Global Compact and ensuring the implementation of a new form of working culture which will be of benefit to our workers and to our clients. Emgrisa is fully supportive of any initiative within our sphere of influence which will improve the conditions and quality of the environment. As well as our responsibility in completing projects to the satisfaction of our clients, we take the opportunity to impart information in relation to the ethics of the Global Compact.

In 2017, Emgrisa has published, for the first time, its Communication of Progress (COP) describing the main actions carried out for the continuous improvement of the integration of the Global Agreement and its principles within its business strategy, company policy and daily operations. For the remainder of 2017 to 2018 and beyond our focus will be in line to the principles we have adhered to.
