According to the European Commission’s Communication to the European Parliament on the 25th of October 2011, the definition of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), is “the responsibility of enterprises for their impacts on society” and to “have in place a process to integrate social, environmental, ethical, human rights and consumer concerns into their business operations and core strategy in close collaboration with their stakeholders”

As of September 26th 2016, Emgrisa is signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (Global Compact). This is an international initiative created by the United Nations, which aims to achieve a voluntary commitment in social responsibility from organizations, integrating it into their strategy and operations.
Through this signatory, Emgrisa endorses the ten principles of conduct and action in the field of human rights, labour, environment and the fight against corruption. Thus, we are committed to reinforce in a very important way our values for the respect to legality, integrity, our commitment to sustainability and to foster collaboration with other companies to advance with the management of environmental responsibility
