
Emgrisa participates in the Mission of Circular Economy to Colombia promoted by the European Commission

The Directorate-General for the Environment of the European Commission has invited Emgrisa to participate in the mission on Circular Economy to Colombia from the 16th to the 20th of October 2017. The objective of the mission is to promote the rapprochement of the European Union with Colombia to promote the challenges laid down by Europe toward a circular economy.
The mission is composed of more than 50 companies, mainly from the environmental and technological sector of the 27 countries of the EU that will share their knowledge and experiences with the Colombian Administration and the Colombian business sector.
Forums will be held on Colombian and European experiences on the environment and will promote business opportunities for the public and private sector. There will also be workshops on waste, energy, water and comprehensive environmental solutions. The meetings with the business and administration sectors will be held in Medellín and Bogotá, with the presence of the Ministers of Environment and Commerce, mayors of the cities and other local authorities.
The European Union approved on the 2nd of December 2015 the circular economy package and a programme of action for the entire value chain of products, from production to consumption, repair and manufacture, waste management and secondary raw materials reintroduced into the economy.
Emgrisa will provide the mission its experience and knowledge in the circular economy on waste management, soil management, bioenergies and environmental technologies.
